The Shudokan was the first Yoshinkan style Dojo outside of Japan. Founded in 1952 by Master Thamby Rajah and is currently headed by his nephew, Joe Thambu Shihan (8th Dan Aikido).

Gozo Shioda's Aikido

An Early Student of Ueshiba O-Sensei and an Aikido Pioneer, Shioda Lived a Life Dedicated to Aikido Soke Shioda Gozo Sensei was born in Shinjuku, Tokyo, in 1915. His father, Shioda Seiichi was a prominent pediatrician and medical academic. It was Shioda Seiichi who encouraged his son to take up various forms of exercise.

Thamby Rajah is a Malaysian Aikido teacher and is often called 'the Father of Malaysian aikido'. He also founded the Shudokan Institute of Aikido in Seremban, Malaysia.

The Shudokan
